Toronto Sunnyside Pavilion wedding photography at the Historic Venue downtown Toronto. Lakeside and beachy with unique architecture, it was the most perfect beachfront wedding just off the Lakeshore. Any wedding that feels like a destination wedding, sign me up! Carolyn and Matthew had been dating since high school, and it was very apparent how excited they were for the next step in their relationship.
It started to pour rain with thunder and lightening right before the ceremony. This meant that Carolyn had to be walked into the ceremony area under a giant Heineken patio umbrella, and the guests had to be moved inside where it was standing room only for 70% of the guests but it was such a lovely circle of family and friends and gave the ceremony a very intimate, relaxed feel – like every single person was part of the ceremony. The bride described it as having to walk through a crowd of everyone she loved in her life in order to get to her groom. Lucky for us, the sun came out by the time the ceremony ended, as if it was meant to be!
It dried up quickly in time for their wedding photography on the beach and around the venue. The all white building gave it the perfect bright summer vibe.
This couple had so many unique details to their wedding. I loved the homemade jams from Moss Berry Farm in St. Jacobs, and the “Ring Security” shirts for the ring bearers were adorable. The venue was full of gorgeous greenery and delicate flowers, which were the perfect complement to the white stucco arches and columns.
It was important to the bride and groom to include their family in their wedding and wedding photography as much as possible. It was so sweet how they displayed pictures of lost family members, had Matt’s uncle be the officiant, and used their grandmothers as flower girls! A fun family tradition for them is to form a giant dance circle to Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing,” it was definitely a highlight!
